The First ever Medix CBW took place in February 2006 and it was a two day training which focused on peer education and was facilitated by the Global Health Awareness and Research foundation Enugu.

The latest Medix CBW occurred on November 4, 2023, with a theme that resonated: “Fate of the Doctor of the Future; AI and its disruption in Medicine”. Just like previous CBWs, it was equally enriching and informative.

The latest Medix CBW occurred on November 4, 2023, with a theme that resonated: “Fate of the Doctor of the Future; AI and its disruption in Medicine”. Just like previous CBWs, it was equally enriching and informative.

Six distinguished guests took their time out to educate the participants and the audience on varying topics ranging from; Public Speaking to Leadership seminars to Artificial intelligence panel sessions and even a detailed presentation on how to successfully carry out Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.

Six distinguished guests took their time out to educate the participants and the audience on varying topics ranging from; Public Speaking to Leadership seminars to Artificial intelligence panel sessions and even a detailed presentation on how to successfully carry out Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.

Among these guests were: Dr Salomee Ezeofor; a consultant Radiologist at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Dr Edak Ezeanosike; a consultant ophthalmologist and ocular oncologist, Dr Nazom Ekwueme; President of the Association of Resident Doctors UNTH, Dr Augustine Ikechukwu Nlewedim;  Head of Pulomonology Medical Unit, Emergency Medicine UNTH who took the audience on a CPR training. Also Mr’s Emeka Onyebuchi (a software developer) and Achimalo Chinedu (a pharmacist and software developer) who held the panel sessions on Artificial intelligence.

Each of these individuals delivered on all fronts, also shared some life experiences to go with it and they left the audience overflowing with knowledge and gratitude at the end.

Apart from the training sessions and talks held, there was also talent exhibition were some Frontiers were given a platform to showcase their talents to the audience, there were award sessions where awards were presented to individuals of exceptional character and dedication in the organization. Also the newly admitted members of the Medix Frontiers took their oath of allegiance to the organization and were inducted officially as members. There were photo sessions, refreshments and a whole lot of laughs.
